Criteria- membership in 4 H -- awards and other criteria vary.
Heavy Equipment Technician. Up to $2,000. Criteria: interest in heavy equipment repair.
Criteria-plan on attending Kent State University to major in Early Childhood or Middle Childhood Education. Need Based.
Criteria-a commitment to the hospitality industry - hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration. $500-5,000 scholarships.
$1,000 Scholarsip - Criteria: Senior High School Girl, Daughter or granddaughter of a current American Legion Auxiliary, need based.
$500 Avon resident. Criteria: GPA 3.0 community or volunteer experience.
BioOhio : $1,2500. Criteria: To be considered for a scholarship, the student must live in Ohio, be a high school senior or senior-equivalent in good standing, and plan to pursue bioscience-related studies at an Ohio college/university. Deadline for applications is March 19, 2010.

Six $2,000 scholarships for students pursuing a manufacturing career through LCCC, CCC or Lakeland CC. March 5, 2010 deadline.Application on line.
Two $1,000 scholarships from Columbia chamber of Commerce and Lucille MacClellan Memorial.
$3,000 Criteria: active participant of Skills USA, FCCLA or Prostart for at least one year. Complete scholarship application for CIA by April 1st , and 500 word essay, and Enroll at the CIA by June 2010

Student must be committed to the study of horticulture, forestry or agriculture, environmental science, botany or landscaping. Up to $3,000.
Open to anyone enrolled in a building or contruction trade school program. Deadline April 30,2010.
Student with plans to enter college no later than the fall after graduation; a strong commitment to pursuing a bachelor degree at an accredited institution. Critical financial need ($50,000 or less adjusted gross income per family; involvement in community and co-curricular activities; demonstrates integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity. Min. 2.0 GPA.
up to $20,000 ($5,000/ yr. renewable) Criteria- Elyria & Midview seniors, 2.8 GPA, 2 letters of recommendations, merit based on community service, volunteerism and extra curricular. (Immediate family members of Elyria Rotary are not eligible).
Criteria: Need based, 150 word statements of career objectives and goals. Deadline usually late April. Avon, Avon Lake, Sheffield: Check local school.
(1) $1,000 and (2) $250 scholarships. 550-1,000 word essay. Parents, Grandparents or self must be a member Ohio Farm Union.
Scholarship Amount: The amount of the scholarship varies but averages $500.00 (may be more or less).

Eligibility Criteria: Be a graduating LCJVS senior; be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in the following academic year as a full-time student at an accredited post-secondary school within the United States; be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.; applicant does not need to have ever donated blood; have a 2.0 GPA or above while enrolled at the LCJVS; and have the heart of a vocational learner and be sincere about pursuing post-secondary education.

Criteria: Letter of recommendation 300 word essay.

MKC Associates - $500. Criteria: Majoring in Architecture, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Structural engineering , Education. -Community involvement. March 31, 2010. Applications in student services.
Check out NR High School Website for the local scholarship application good for up to 22 different scholarships. (Example: North Ridgeville Chamber of Commerce: $500 any graduating NR student planning to major in a Business related curriculum.
Joseph Fighter- winner $1,000 and 2 runners-up 250.
Virgil Thompson- winner $1,000 and 2 runners up $550.
Criteria Jr. or Sen. Parents or grandparents are members. Essay required.
$1,500, Minority scholarship for students planning a major in print journalism that have a 2.5 GPA. Deadline:March 2010
$3,000. Criteria: open to high school seniors and college students who have epilepsy.
$1,000. Criteria: Active member of Skills USA.
Associate $2,000, Criteria: 18 ACT. Reach up to $2,000 renewable
Walton $10,000 Criteria: 3.0 GPA, 22 ACT.
$500. Granted by the Lo. Co. Educational Service Center Endowment.Criteria: Pursuing a degree in education as a full time student. 2 teacher recommendations.
Criteria-Financial Need, pref. to Lorain residents continuing in a trade or industrial field. (e.g. building trades, Culinary Arts etc.)
Available thru the Lorain County foundation scholarship.
$1,000 Criteria-Any graduating senior pursuing a career in the broadcast industry.
$1,000. Criteria- Diagnosed with cancer before the age of 21. Applications available on-line during mid Dec.
